Privacy policy
A local utility. Your display choice stays on your Mac.
Last updated: October 19, 2026
About this policy
Docklock is a macOS Dock utility made by Rappasoft, LLC. This policy covers the current Mac app. Visits to this site are covered separately by the Rappasoft website privacy policy.
Information used on your Mac
Docklock reads connected display names, identifiers, and geometry, the Dock's position and accessibility geometry, and the separate-Spaces setting to check whether the selected display can be locked. It saves the chosen display identifier and whether locking is enabled in local app preferences.
While the lock is active, Docklock processes mouse locations, movement, and button activity to guard the exposed bottom edges of other displays and to cancel a move when you use the mouse. It does not save a mouse-activity history. For automatic recovery, it checks the time since keyboard activity and whether secure text input is enabled; it does not read or record what you type.
Accessibility permission
Docklock uses macOS Accessibility/Device Control access to inspect the Dock and control pointer movement. That helps prevent screen switching and lets Move Dock Here attempt relocation. The app does not read your documents, messages, browsing history, clipboard, or passwords. You can revoke its permission in System Settings or quit Docklock to stop its guard.
Purchases, licensing, and updates
Lemon Squeezy handles checkout, payments, receipts, download delivery, and license keys under its privacy policy. Docklock sends your license key and a fixed “Docklock on Mac” instance name to Lemon Squeezy to activate, validate, or deactivate your license. It stores the key and activation record in your Mac's Keychain. It does not send a computer name, hardware identifier, or payment card details.
Docklock checks a public GitHub-hosted update feed using Sparkle. An update check sends standard network request data, such as your IP address, to GitHub. Downloading an update also contacts GitHub. Automatic checking is optional; automatic installation is off by default. System profiling for update checks is disabled.
Local operation
Docklock does not send display information, preferences, mouse activity, or keyboard-activity timing to Rappasoft. It has no Rappasoft account, cloud sync, advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking service. Dock and pointer processing happens locally on your Mac.
Retention and your choices
Display and pointer information used during operation is held in memory. Quit Docklock to end that processing. Your chosen display and enabled setting remain in local preferences so the app can restore your choice. License information remains in Keychain until you deactivate or remove it. macOS may retain local diagnostic logs, including app lifecycle messages. For help removing local data, contact us.
Support messages
If you email us, we receive your address, message, and attachments you choose to send. We use that information to answer your request and troubleshoot, and retain correspondence as needed for support and business records. You can ask us to delete it, subject to records we must keep by law. Email providers process messages for delivery and storage. Do not send passwords or unrelated private screen content.
Contact and updates
For privacy, access, deletion, or support requests, email [email protected]. If the app's practices change, we will update this policy and its date. Visit the Docklock support page.
